Exosomes for Hair

Exosomes for Hair

Is your hair thinning or shedding more than it used to, and you want to give it real support? Exosomes are tiny messengers that cells use to tell hair roots to grow. Here they are added on top of a PRGF hair treatment, so your scalp gets two boosts in one session, for stronger, fuller-looking hair.

Best for thinning and shedding, as a boost to a PRGF hair course.

What can exosomes do for thinning hair?

Slow progress with other treatmentsAn extra boost on top of PRGF.

How do exosomes work for hair?

We use exosome products from Korea and the US, made in a laboratory from cells or plants. They are added to your scalp in the same session as PRGF, a growth-factor treatment made from your own blood, and carry signals that wake up and support weak hair roots.

In studies, every group treated with exosomes improved in at least one hair measure, with up to 35 more hairs per square centimetre and thicker strands, and no serious side effects. They work on roots that are still alive, so they can’t regrow a fully bald area.

Who shouldn’t have exosome treatment?

It isn’t suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active scalp infection, during cancer or cancer treatment, or with a weakened immune system. As thinning often has a medical cause, your doctor looks for that first.

Exosome hair treatment, step by step

  1. Free consultation: your doctor finds the cause of your thinning and plans your course.
  2. PRGF first: a small blood sample is prepared into PRGF and placed in the numbed scalp.
  3. Exosomes added: the exosome product is applied on top, in the same session.
  4. Course: usually 3–4 sessions, about a month apart, with your PRGF course.
  5. Review: your doctor checks your progress at about three months and plans top-ups.

Results and recovery

Most people notice less shedding first, then fuller, thicker-looking hair over about three months as the course builds. Results last longer when the cause of your thinning is kept under control, with a top-up alongside your PRGF upkeep every few months.

The scalp may be red, tender or slightly swollen for a day or two. Most people carry on with their day as normal.

Aftercare

  • Don’t scratch or rub your scalp for a day
  • Skip the gym and steam for a day
  • Wash your hair gently the next day
  • Wear a hat in strong sun for a few days

Exosomes: your questions answered

Exosomes are added to a PRGF hair course, so the price depends on the product, Korean or US, and the number of sessions. The free consultation comes first, and you are told the full price before any treatment. Ask for the price of the whole course.

If you want to give your PRGF course an extra push, yes, it is a popular choice. Studies found denser, thicker hair and high satisfaction, with no serious side effects. PRGF stays the base; exosomes add the boost.

Only a little. Numbing cream is applied first, and a small blood sample is taken for the PRGF part. Most people feel light pricking or pressure, and the exosomes themselves add no extra discomfort.

Most people notice less shedding within the first weeks, then fuller-looking hair over about three months as the course builds. Your doctor reviews your progress at each visit.

Results build through the course and hold well while the cause of your thinning is under control. A top-up every few months, alongside your PRGF upkeep, helps keep your hair at its best.

Studies reported no serious side effects, only mild redness or tenderness for a day or two. Quality depends on the product, which is why we use trusted Korean and US exosomes, and your doctor tells you exactly which one is used.

In the US, the FDA hasn’t yet approved any exosome product to treat a condition, and research is growing fast. We use Korean and US products; ask your doctor which one, where it is made and how it is stored.

PRGF uses growth factors from your own blood, so it is the base of your treatment. Exosomes add a second set of growth signals on top, giving weak roots extra support in the same session. We don’t offer exosomes on their own for hair.

No. Like other non-surgical treatments, they support hair roots that are still alive. Where roots have gone, hair won’t return. We don’t offer hair transplants, so your doctor will be clear about what to expect.

Common causes include genes, hormones, thyroid problems, low iron, stress and recent illness or childbirth. Some of these improve once treated, so your doctor checks for them, sometimes with blood tests, before any scalp treatment.

Yes, as a separate treatment for firmness, fine lines and glow. See exosomes for skin. For hair, your doctor may also add scalp microneedling to your PRGF plan.

Yes. Start about four months before the day, so your course is finished and your hair has had time to look fuller and healthier for your photos.
