How does the HD Glow Facial work?
It starts with a thorough cleanse that lifts away make-up, oil and grime, so the skin is clean and ready. Then a light chemical peel is applied for a few minutes: a doctor-chosen acid that loosens the dull, dead cells on the surface so they shed, the way our glycolic acid peel does.
With that dull layer gone, light reflects evenly from fresh skin underneath, which is the glow you see as you leave. Regular visits keep the surface fresh, so the glow lasts.
Who shouldn’t have the HD Glow Facial?
It isn’t suitable with an active cold sore, infection or broken skin on the face, with sunburn or a fresh tan, or if you take isotretinoin (Roaccutane). Tell your doctor about any recent waxing, retinol or other peels, so the peel can be chosen safely. Your doctor checks this at your consultation.
Your HD Glow Facial, step by step
- Free consultation: your doctor checks your skin and chooses the peel for it.
- Deep cleanse: make-up, oil and grime are lifted away.
- Light peel: the peel goes on for a few minutes, then is removed.
- Calm and protect: a soothing finish and sunscreen; about 30 minutes in all.
- Keep the glow: many patients come back monthly.
Results and recovery
Your skin looks fresher and brighter after your first visit, and tone and texture keep improving with regular sessions. Daily sunscreen protects the result.
You may feel tingling or mild warmth during the peel, then mild redness for a few hours and sometimes light flaking for a few days. Most people go straight back to their day.
Aftercare
- Light make-up from the next day
- No gym, sauna or steam for 24 hours
- Pause retinol and scrubs for 3–5 days
- Wear sunscreen every day
