How Profhilo works
Each Profhilo syringe contains 64 mg of hyaluronic acid, a blend of high- and low-molecular-weight forms that is stabilised with heat instead of chemical cross-linkers. Because the gel is so fluid, it spreads under the skin like a fine layer of moisture rather than sitting in one spot.
The face is treated through just five injection points on each side, known as Bio Aesthetic Points, which are chosen to stay clear of major blood vessels and nerves. Over the following weeks the hyaluronic acid draws in water and supports the skin’s own collagen and elastin. That is why Profhilo is described as “bio-remodelling”, and why your results keep improving after the session.

Your Profhilo treatment, step by step
- Free consultation: your doctor assesses your skin, talks through your goals and confirms Profhilo is right for you.
- Preparation: the skin is cleansed. Numbing cream is optional, as the needle is very fine.
- Treatment: ten small injections for the face (a few more for the neck), taking around 15–20 minutes.
- Second session: a repeat treatment about four weeks later completes the standard course.
- Maintenance: a top-up roughly every six months keeps your results going.
Results and how long they last
Many people notice their skin looks more hydrated within days. The firming effect builds over the next four to eight weeks, and the full result shows about a month after your second session. Results typically last around six months, depending on your age, skin and lifestyle.
Recovery, aftercare and side effects
Small raised bumps appear at the injection points for 12 to 24 hours while the gel settles, and some people have mild redness, tenderness or a small bruise. Most people go back to work the same day.
- Avoid make-up on the treated area for 12 hours
- Skip strenuous exercise, saunas and steam rooms for 24–48 hours
