What causes Sun Damage?

When the skin fibres break down due to UV rays through sunlight, it begins to sag, stretch, and lose its ability to go back into place after stretching. The skin also bruises and tears more easily, taking longer to heal. So while sun damage to the skin may not be apparent when you’re young, it will definitely show later in life.

Sun damage can vary from as mild as melasma serious problems such as melanoma. It can damage your skin with an uneven tone, wrinkles, darker areas and freckles. At worst, skin cancer. Protecting and controlling the results is always best, but for already damaged skin, we can help with the appearance.
